The hilarious, awkward Freeway & Jay-Z incident

On yesterday’s episode of the Hollywood Prospectus podcast, hosts Andy Greenwald and Chris Ryan followed their weekly pop culture critique with a hilarious story of a Jay-Z photo op gone terribly wrong. The Jigga man visited Philadelphia to announce the details of his involvement with the Budweiser sponsored “Made in America” concert, which features quite a few Philly-based hip hop artists. Freeway is pictured above in the baby blue shirt and has had a relationship with Jay-Z since he was signed to Roc-A-Fella records back in the early 2000’s. Even though he’s been mostly out of the national spotlight for almost a decade, poor old Freeway was probably hoping to see some camera time with Young Hova and a few of Philadelphia’s politicians. That was before he was (very smoothly) told to take a walk by his former label boss. Then he began his epic dejected sulking. Check it out:
